• » Seouin Light. The Mirror recently contained complaints against the keepers of several light houses on our coast. As to the complaints about Seguin Island Light, the Portland Argus says:—As to Seguin, the Bath Mirror evidently labors under a mistake. Mr. Carter took an early opportunity last week to have personal interviews with Mr. Rogers, the pilot of the steamer Governor, and Capt. Farwell, of the Daniel Webster, who pass that Light alternately each night. They both stated to him that (lie Seguin Light is well kept—that if it were otherwise they should certainly know it I —and that they never have heard any complaint about it from any source. Such testimony as this will, we presume, satisfy our co-teinporary of the Mirror that he is in error on that point, and lead him to make prompt correction. We are authorized to say in this connection, that well-grounded complaints against any of the Light Houses on this coast, if made to the Superintendent, or Lieut. Win. IL Franklin, Inspector of Lights, (whose office is at the Custom House in lliis city) will be attended to immediately.
