Walton Junior College scut ., ai vers.Charles Pulley, coach, and Ed Head, a sophomore student at OWJC found the anchor dur ing their underwater explora tion in Santa Rosa Sound over the Labor Day holiday. It was found in about 25 feet of water in the Sound near Howard John son’s Motor Lodge in Marv E.s ther. according to Pullev and H 1Thev explained that old an ehors don’t just lie on the sandy bottom surface they are buried, usually, often for many years. This one was almost completely buried. Only a barnacle encrusted fluke was visible to the intrepid divers (A fluke is either of the two triangular pointed blades on the arms of an anchor).
