Jerry Stassen of Peotone, III., a successful breeder of Shetland ponies has purchased the Joe Conrad farm of 240acres 3; miles east of LaC rosse, and is now moving farm implements here to start work putting in fall crops. Mr. Stassen makes a specialty of breeding Shetland ponies and now has for sale 25 of them. He brought four through last week and will bring more this week. One of this number was purchased by T. B. McDonald forhis little son.
