Fall Term Begins With an Unusually Large Attendance of Pupils. St. Mary’s parochial school opened its doors today. The attendance is unusually large and Rev. Weldon was pleased beyond measure with the out look for the coming year. The young folks were surprised at the transforma tion that had been effected in the building since they laid aside their books last June to enjoy the summer vacation. A number of needed and welcome changes had been made and everything was bright and cheery for the opening day. All the rooms had felt the touch of the deft fingers of skilful operators. City water has been placed inside the building, making it more convenient for pupils. The principal of St. Mary’ school has for some time been also one of the teach ers. The plan is changed this year, the principal of the school donating all her time to looking after the in terests of the various rooms. St. Joseph’s academy, which is also in charge of the Dominican sisters, opened the fall term today with a larger attendance than at any time since the academy was started. A new feature, the teaching of music, has been added to the curriculum. The proper way to build health is to make the blood rich and pure by tak ing Hood’s Sarsaparilla, the true blood purifier.
