Sudden llcutli ok un Old Soldier.James Finney, of Washingtonvillo, diedrather suddenly, on Sunday. Though ailingsomewhat, ho was not considered seriouslyill. lie took to his bed Sunday forenoon, anddied in three or four hours. A post mortem examination was to bo made. Mr. Finney was u soldier in the late Union army, having hoeii nttujhed io the engineer corps, und passing through several campaigns. lie was in the Peninsular campaign, and was in the tight at Chapin’s farm, and several other engagements. Mr. Finney was greatly esteemed by his companions and neighbors. His wife died recently, leaving a babe, who survives both its parents. Deceased was about thiity-iivoyears old.—Neicburah Journal.
