Dr. Erl Bates of Cornell[0 Cniversity asked the HistoricalSociety to prepare an exhibit to be placed in the building housing exhibits of local in-*y terest Early Tobacco Growing jal in Chemung County was then- theme chosen, and James E.ts Smith of Erin has skillfullye- built a model of a tobacco shed.This is accompanied bv an-?t other model by Mr. Smith of ay farm yard. George Vetter hass* written a text and supplied pictures of scenes in the county 10 when tobacco was grown here.
