Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Crale of Sugar Creek township today celebrated her fiolden wedding anniversity. They were married 60 years ago In a school house in Union township. At the same time Milton V. Meadlee, now of west Franklina tree was married, his wife of that day now being dead, Rev. Samuel Lowden whose parents came, to Shelbyville in an early day was the officiating minister. The day was dark! ‘and gloomy so far as the weather! ‘was concerned In comparison with this bright September day. Roads were not plen‘iful in Shelby county then, and buggies were very scarce, conse quently Mr. and Mrs. Craig rode a horse double from the schol house where they were married to their home. Now they are the parents of 10 children, the grandparents of 22 chil dren and the great grandparents of 1 child. This couple are highly esteemed residents and many people today paid them homage. Their children are Mrs. Azilia Mohr and Cully Ceatg, of In dianapolis, William H. C. Craig, and Mra. Armada Smith of this city, Orba . Craig, of Maniliny Clarence Craig, of Greensburg; Robert Craig, of Morriet town: Verle Craig, who lives south of Shelbyville; Mrs. Della Stubbs, norther west of Shelbyville and Lloyd Craig. who lives with my parents.
