Rosenbrock are entertaining friends from Chicago | Miss’ Minnie Seltzers’ visiting friends in Crete. — Russel Schafer is visiting at the home of Herman Seitz. Mr. and Mrs. Schafer are visiting at the Budda home, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schneeweize are visiting friends in Joliet. Harry Voights visiting Mr. and Mrs. Pries and family at Austin, Miss Alma Knickerehm is visiting relatives in Stafford, South Dakota. _ Mr. and Mrs. Carl Judson and family of Chicago are visiting relatives’ here. Mrs. Andrew Luken was taken to, Mercy hospital Saturday morning to undergo an operation for appendicitis. John Jacobs is ill. Alvina Nadelar is seriously ill. Chris Kopman was a Grant Park visitor Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kopman enter tained a large number of friends Sun day. Miss Myrtle Bradley of Channabon has began teaching in the Will Center school. William and Henry Pies’ visited their sister, Mrs. Andrew Suiken, who is ‘sick in the Mercy hospital in Chi cago. Mrs. John Oaken is entertaining her uncle who is from Iowa. ‘Albert Mass if Lemont is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thiesfeld and fam ily . Miss Hope Norman was a Chicago visitor Sunday. Mr. and Mrs.Herman Zirzow visited Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zirzow Sunday. Miss Minnie Oldenburg visited her brother, Eddie, Sunday. Mrs. Joseph Reva and Mrs. Harry Harvey and children of Joliet were guests at the home of Mrs. Jean Ro lando Monday. Mrs. Thomas Brown of Cherry was a guest at the Skinner home recently. Misses Mary and Lizzie Francesc hina spent Monday with friends and relatives in Braidwood, Frank Maltby of Braidwood called on friends here Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. William Krammer spent Monday with relatives and friends in South Wilmington, Mr. and “Mrs. Robert Robertson were the guests of Mr. Robertson's sister, Miss Robertson, in Chicago Monday. Mr. and Mrs. William Hakey and family of South Wilmington spent Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meyers. Miss Virginia Francescana and Dom inick Demardo were Braidwood visitors Monday. Mr. and Mrs. John Barra, from south of town, visited here. Monday with Mrs. Jean Rolando and family. Mr. and Mrs. Llewellyn Rogers and sons, Llewellyn and Clarence, attended the funeral of Mrs. Rogers’ aunt, Mrs. Benjamin Price, in Braidwood Wednes day. Mrs. James Hlafka and son Albert visited Mrs. Hlaska's sister, Mrs. Henry Stewart, in Braidwood Thursday. John Rogers of Decatur visited “here bhe fore part of the week with his mother, Mrs. Ed. Philips. What It Said. “Well, money talks,” he announced as if he was saying something new. “Maybe it does,” replied his friend, “but all it ever says to me is ‘Good by.’”
