Hinton, which occurred at Sanford on Tuesday September 3 after a long Illness.The body passed through Hattiesburg Wednesday night and was transferred from the Gulf and 8hip Island Railroad to the New Orleans and Northeastern by David Fairley, the undertaker who furnished the coffin, and forwarded to Heidelberg.Mr. Hinton was a native of Perry County, born at Augusta. September 5, 1871, where his parents still live, and were among the first settlers of Perry County.He was a self made man, and had reached a prominent place among the young business men of this section. He was an active member of the Masonic order, for a long time secretary of the Augusta lodge and was also a prominent member of the Consatenat-ed order of Hoo-Hoo.He leaves a wife and two little girlB and a host of friends to mourn his loss.
