New Healtii Officer.—A meeting ofthe Board of Health was held here todav.•Present, C. C. Bartlett, C. Eisenbeis and A. Weir, members, and J. A. Kuhn, Secretary. On motion, a hill of 85 wasapproved for labor clearing out roail to the pest house. On motion, the oflicc of health ollicer for Puget Sound was declared vacant, Dr. F. W. Mead having been acting temporarily for Dr. Minor since the latter’s removal to Seattle. Dr. L. T. Seavey was elected to till the vacancy. Dr. Seavey is a studious and rising young physician who deserves success.
