Preamble and Resolutions.At the regular meeting of the Board of Education of Holla, on Tuesday night, the following preamble and resolutions on the death of Miss ■ Jenniepcan, n'former teacher in the school, was unanimously adopted:.Whereas, In the dispensation* of divine providence. Miss Jennie Dean, formerly a teacher in the public schools Ct Kolia, departed this life WednesdayAugust 27tli 1879, leaving an aged parent, brothers, sisters and friends to mourn her loss, therefore-be itIts solved, That in the death of Miss Jennie Dean, society has lost a friend.of whom they were Justly proud, aud the youth of the land an educatior In the highest sense, and a family tie broken only to bo reunited on the shores of'eternity.Resolved*. That we deeply sympathize with the friends of the deceased a ml'-tender our condolence in their bereavement.Resolve*.
