(By Edyth Carlson) MADRID—Miss Anne Moody, a staff worker of the Mississippi Freedom movement spoke at Madrid Methodist Church Sunday, Aug. 30, at 7:30 p. m. Miss Moody, a 23 year old graduate of Tougaloo College, was active in the NAACP on that college campus. Olivia Nicoletto of Madrid, and his sister, Mrs. Joe Torna bone of Ames spent a few days this week in Battle Creek, Mich., to attend the funeral of an uncle. Evangelical Free Church of Madrid dedicated a new brick parsonage Sunday, Aug. 30 at 3:30 p. m. Rev. Carl Linde, superinten dent of the central district of the Evangelical Free Church of America, gave the dedicatory address. There was special music and area Free Church pastors participated in the serv ice. Miss Ellen Dahl of Columbia, Mo., has been visiting her father, John Dahl, who resides at Iowa Lutheran Home. Miss Dahl is an instructor at Chris tian College in Columbia. Mrs. L. A. Suprise and sister, Mrs. Bert Slatterly, and her daugter, Miss Sylvia Slatterly, all of Huntington Park, Cal., visited recently with Mrs. Elsie P. Anderson, cousin of Mrs. Su prise and Mrs. Slatterly.
