Clarence Otis Methner, son of John and Mary Susan Methner, was horn March 29, 1907 in Grant county, W. Va., and died August 29, 1946 at Blodgett hospital. Grand Rapids. Mich., at the age of 39 years and five months. H»* was the sixth of a family of ten.He was united in marriage toElla Prout, on Dec. 7, 1926. Tothis union was horn four children:Mildred. Clarence, Mary Lou and Ann Jane, ail at home.Those preceeding him in death are two brothers. Arthur and Ross, his mother, and two sisters Myrtle and Evelyn.Those left to mourn their loss are his wife and four children; his father, John Methner; his brother James Methner, and Virginia Methner, all of Beaverton; Mrs. Pearl Kitzmiller of Bloom-ingdale, Md.; Mrs. Nellie Miller end Mrs. Violet I.andon of Midland, Mich.; also many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and hosts of other friends.He cnme with his parents as a small child to Isabella county, Mich., where he lived most of h:s life until on Feb. 20, 1946 he moved to his farm home near Remus in Mecosta county, Mich.He was a devoted, loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
