SEPTEMBER S, ltM.Obituary.MR. ANDREW KENNEDY.The many friends of Pip* Major Ksu-nedy will receive with sad hearts the news of the passing of his only eon Andrew. The sad event took place in the MutU-burra Hospital on Sunday afternoon at 4.11 p.m. Andrew is survived by a widow and three children. The last sad rite# were conducted by the Rev. James Blaks. who in the course of an address said. The late Mr. Kennedy was a true Brltleher. and a devoted lover of the country of his forbears. He had endeared himself to his many mates. u» was Indicated by the large gathering here this morning. There were representatives from the Barcaldlne and Longreach Caledonian Associations, and also the R.S.8.I.L.A. of Barcaldlne. All went to show the respect and esteem by which their late friend was held by the Associations with which he Identified himself. At the graveside the Chieftain. Bob Whyte, of the Barcaldlne Caledonian Association played Lamenta of which one was the Flowers of the Forest. The funeral on Monday morning was very largely attended.
