GIVEN CHARARl VAftlA.number ot friends ol Mr, hnd Mrs. A. C. .Helms of West Main street, gathered at their home on Thursday night and gave t he newlyweds a chararivari. The bride was tormeily Mrs. Emma Hindman. The couple was married Wednesday evening nt Crab Orchard. Mrs. Helm was sitting in the front room of her •oine Thursday evening about 7:30 find Mr. Helms was sitting on the *r°nt porch, and all atonop it seemed that all the country had turned out to coive to their home. Mr.Helms tried very hard to get into the house and get his wife and get away, hut they were caught and brought back home. Mr. Helms was then marched to the ice cream factory, where lie got a freezer full of cream for his friends.Among those present were: Mr.and Mrs. Will Nelson and daughter, Ruby, Air. and Mrs. Joe Nelson and iaughier, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hoi-bind, Mr. and Mrs. (Jordon Burns, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hudspeth and daughter, Lillian, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Collins, Mr. and Mrs. Milo Hindman, and sou, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. W. M James, Mr. and Mrs. Willie James, Mr. Hi.Q Mrs. Orval Bratten, Mr. and Mrs. Cnas. Jones; Mesdameg Minnie Jeter, Mattie Jeter and son, Loran, Rettli Sanders.
