Will be Formally Welcomed at Sacred Os cert to be Given by Band at Luther College Auditorium Sunday Afternoon.riie Luther College Concert Baud will arrive home Saturday of this week, after a most successful concert tour of the west to the Pacific coast, and the citizens of Decorah and friends of the institution they represent have arranged to give them a warm reception. It was first planned r to have them give a concert at the 1 Gland ojera house, but that building is engaged for the week, and so they will give a sacred concert on Sunday afternoon at three o’clock, in the Luther College Auditorium. Speeches of welcome will be made bv Mayor F.* vr \V. Daubuey for the city, Rev. Dr. r V. Kore 11 for the Norwegian synod, Pres. C. K. Preus for Luther College and Rev. Thos. Nilsson of Ridgeway for the neighboring congregations.During its tour the band lias been playing on guarantees of $150.00 for each concert, and those who have the matter in charge here have decided to arrange for the payment of this guarantee here the same as elsewhere, and have the concert free to the public, i This guarantee will be raised by private subscription. It is to be hoped that there will be a large attendance to welcome this great baud and its director Prof. C. A. Sperati, back to Decorah.
