Fire Department items Four new fire alarm boxes are to be placed as follows: Box 55, at Tuna Glass works; box 33, Hobson place; box 612, Burnside avenue; box 68, Holley avenue. Ap Eastman déluge apparatus where by three streams are combined, and from an elevated ladder structure are used for ‘‘deluging’’ a fire, has been ob tained for the use of the department. This afternoon at the City Building the apparatus will be tested. Chief Toy has applied a new fangled and very effective brake to his carriage. He can stop short now on the grightest provocation. George Leipold of Hose 1, and James Butler of Hose 2, have resigned their po sitions with the fire department to ac cept other situations. They will be suc ceeded by Frank Rook and Edward Larkins.
