Schumacher, Sr., of East Dubuque, will regret to learn' that he is* suffering1 from the effects of a slight stroke of paralysis. About 6 o’clock yesterday evening Mr. Schumbacher was attending to some duties about his livery barn when he was strlken on his right side, and has since been unSi* to use his arm. The stroke is not a' severe one, or one which extended completely up and down his body but was of sufficient force to affect his speech somewhat as well as to deaden his right arm.
