The complaint charged Cleveland with disorderly conduct. He was released on bail, but no sooner had he gained bis liberty than be proceeded to the house a ho re mentotied and began to abuse Stella. She endnred it at long as she oould, but when patience ceased to be a virtue, abe went to police head quarter* and begged I tat her tormentor be locked up. Con-••M.uently Cleveland is once more in the toils, this time the complaint against him is for being drunk. There is quite a narrative connected with this pair. Not many years ago Cleveland was a proaj»erou* dravman and owned several teams. He was married, had a happy bom**, and b»a family circle was surrounded with bliae. He finally formed the acquaintance of Mrs. Nellis. She b» camo enamored, he infatuated. As a result Cleveland left his wife and went to live at the Barnard House. He lost his t**anjs and business.
