In Prison for Malpractice, Mrs. Lizzie Rodgers was arrested yesterday at her office, 215 North Twelfth street, by Lieutenant Howell and Special OMeer John Carpenter, of the Twenty-third police district, on the charge of mal practice. The victim is Mrs. Sarah Lemley, of 2159 Franklin street. The prisoner was given a bearing before Magistrate Riley. District Attorney Graham was present. Dr. A. Y. Gerhart, of 2951 Germantown avenue, who reported the case to the District Attor ney, testified to the character of Mrs. Lemley's in juries and said on, she was now in danger of death. Dr. E. B. Wheeler, of No. 1926 North Eighth street, who was called in as con sulting phsician, corroborated Dr. Gerhart’s tes Sept. rs. Lemly's sister, Hattie Ferber, testified that she had accompanied her sister to Mrs. Rodgers’ office withat the lavier used instruments. Special Officer ‘pageome testified that he found four women in Miners’ office when he made the arrest. Mrs. Rodgers gave 1219 Spruce street as her place of resi dence, but it was found that no such person lived there. She was sent to prison to await trial.
