William G. MearWiliam MearWilliam “Skip” George Mear, 47, a resident of Midway, Utah, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, in Provo,Utah.An open house m his memory will be 1 p.m.Sunday, Sept. 11, at 1212 W. 175th Street, East Hazel Crest.Mr. Mear was born April 8,1947, in Chicago Heights. He was a graduate of Thornton High School and attended South Suburban College when it was known as ThorntonCommunity College. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as an Army helicopterpilot.He is survived by his wife, Holly Morris of Midway; two sisters, Marge Grutzius of Thornton and Charlene Plowless of Tomah, Wis.; a brother, James of East Hazel Crest; and many nieces and nephews.Arrangements were handled by Walker Funeral Home, Provo.
