W* mResidents Of Swampy ‘Cajun’ Country Brace For Storm Ready To Hit Below New OrleansNew Orleans—AP—The Gulf hurricane is expected to hit the Louisiana coast between Morgan City and Grand Isle shortly after midnight Friday. .The Weather Bureau at 8:30 p.m. Central Standard Time, reported the hurricane had moved 120 miles nearer the Louisiana coast since its afternoon advisory, and that itsforward jspeed had increased fromlt;fe —ID’toIff miles per hour. ’The Advisory said that at 9:30 p.m. (Eastern Standard Tims)-the storm was centered about 130 miles southwest of - the mouth of the Mississippi River.It said the hurricane ia attended by winds of 75 miles per hour over a small area near the center. Gales extend outward 250 miles to the east and northeast of the center.At 3:45 p.m. (Central Standard Time) Friday the forecaster 1 o -cated the center of the storm about 210 miles southwest of the mouth of the Mississippi River.
