REUBEN TUEL., Monticello, Ia—Special: Reuben Tuel, 77, well known resident of this community, died Monday afternoon at John McDonald hospital here after an illness of seven months. Mr. Tuel was born at Epworth, Ia., April 17, 1857. His early life was spent in that locality, a short time in Nebraska, and around Monticello. He was married to Catherine Ann Bobleter, Dec. 10, 1879. Her death occurred Dec. 29, 1920. For many years, Mr. Tuel was employed in the creamery and later was caretaker of Oakwood cemetery. Five children survive him. They are Ben Toul, Monticello; Mrs. Fran ces Bahl of Dubuque, Mrs. Virginia Eilers of Scotch Grove, Mrs. Mattie Graves of Brownsdale, Minn., and Mrs. Arvilla Derflinger of Long Beach, Calif. There are also 29 grandchildren and 13 great-grand children. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 o’clock Wednesday ‘morning at the Sacred Heart Catholic church with the Rev. A. Lorenz officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.
