Lightning Does Damage. A barn belonging to Orin Wilson near Harmony was struck by lightning and completely destroyed. Mrs Jennie Hardman, of Harmony, was struck by lightning and severely burned. Lyman Wilson, of near Staunton, Was struck by lightning Sunday even ing and burned about the hands and arms.A cow belonging to Garnete Corbin, near Staunton, was struck by lightning and killed. Miss Amy Jenkins, of Ambta, is vis iting her sister, Miss Anna, and is at tending Teachers’ Institute here. Miss Jenkins is a former Brazilian and will teach at the Marion school 5 miles north of here this winter. Mrs Maud Baer, of Elkhart, who has been visiting in Saline City, was here today on her way home. M. Laferty and daughter, Mrs. J D. Simons, of Clay City, were here this morning on their way to Mansfield, O., to visit relatives. Miss Catherine Fitzpatrick spent yesterday in Terre Haute. Patrick McQuade, Wiliam Hunt, Charles Wiseman, Jon Hunt, Charles Hutchison and Bert Johnson will spend two weeks fishing on the Kankakee river.
