The funeral services of Mrs. Elizabeth Hess was held at the home of her sister, Mrs. Hannah Lincoln, in this city, last Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. F. D. Macy, assisned by Rev. Mrs. Coffin, conducted the services. Mrs. Hess was born in St. Lawrence county, New York, June 17, 1854. With her parents she moved to Wisconsin when a girl. There she married Oscar Brown and with him moved to Nebraska where he died. Four years ago she married John Hess and moved to Spencer. Mr. Hess died last April and since that time Mrs. Hess has lived with her son, Fred Brown, of this place. Mr. Brown moved with his family to South Dakota some few weeks ago. Mrs. Hess following him to her new home was taken with sickness at Vilas, 8. D., where she died Sunday night, August 24th, ‘ Mrs. Hess leaves to mourn her loss an aged mother, one son and two daughters, one slater sud.two brothers,
