Algonn, Sept. 5.—Special to the State Register.—Fire last night eompletly destroyed a large barn on Representative C. L. Lund’s stock farm one mile from Algona. It is not known liow it started and incendiarism is suspected. In it waa a Norman stallion, for which Mr, Lund paid $5,000, H,000 bushels of old oats, 500 bushels off shelled corn, 500 bushels of barley, three work horses $1,000 worth of machinery, a wiml-mil) and grinding apparatus and many other articles of value. There was a small insurance on tho building, but the rest is a total loss, nothing being 'saved. Fortuuatly the dames did not reach his larger hay and feeding barns. Mr. Lund’s establishment is one of the lrg-gest in northern Iowa, ami the damage done is small compared to what might easily have happened. The total loss will not fall short of $0,000.
