H't.Bronte first motel was Dec. 23, 1»4S, toy Mr; and Mrs. Ernest Ivey, with a formal open* ing of the Motel Victor. Con* s trite tion started on the structure in September, $1948. It is located on Highway JSeven hew rooms were ^ added and completed in August, 1950.Ivey jwas mayor of Bronte from 1954 58. It was during his admin* istration that the paving' project for Bronte streets was undertaken and completed.Mrs. Ivey is the former Eliza* beth Maxwell. They have two children, Victor and Ann.
