A huge Democrat rally with a space-age flare is st uled for Tuesday evening at the Terre Haute House. United States Senators Birch Bayhe and Vance Hartke will be guest speakers at a 6:30 p.m. banquet to kickoff the local city election cam paign. If scheduling permits Gov. Matthew Welsh will also be a guest speaker. He is scheduled to speak Tuesday afternoon at a bridge dedication in Vinc ennes. Mayor Ralph Tucker will also speak at the $5 per plate din ner which is expected to be the largest single dinner banquet ever held in Terre Haute. About 700 persons are expected to attend. Closed circuit television will be used to assure that all per sons present have a good view of the speakers. All counties in the Sixth Dis trict will be represented. Sulli van and Clay counties will also send representatives. Honor Guests. Honored at the banquet will be all Democrat county precinct committeemen and committee women. They will attend as guests of the party. A reception will be held for the senators. and Gov. Welsh prior to the dinner at the Terre Haute House. At 5:30 p.m. a press confer ence will be held in the club room of the Wabash Valley Press club, also located in the hotel. Tickets for the dinner may be purchased from any Sixth District county chairman and from members of the local ticket committee. L. V. (Dutch) Letzkus, Sixth District chairman, is head of the ticket committee. Other members of the committee in clude: Dick Kelly, Mike Ellis, Vern Gibson, John Haley, Mil ler Carbon, Joe Zwerner, Joe Gabbert, David I. Day, Fredrick Bauer, Jack Mankin, Herman Compton, Mike Sweeney and Dewey Annakin.
