McCoy, stats highway engineer, to a Marin Eagle lodge.The lodge, Aerie No. 256, San Rafael, recently passed a resolution asking for the end of the strip and referred their resolution to the state department of public works.In answer to the Eagles resolution that the three lane section between San Rafael and Ignacio b* eliminated the department said:“We are in accord with the objectives expressed in the resolution that this particular portion of th« State Highway System be improved and wish to assure you that the improvement of this route will be undertaken as soon as funds can be alloted for that purpose.“You are aware, of course, that the deficiencies on the State Highway System far exceed the fund* available for State highway purposes.The letter further stated that ii would not be possible to improve alD portions of the three lane strip in a short period of time.
