The Iowa State Highway Commis sion Tuesday named low bidders on a number of projects in the state. Calhoun County has three that were in this list, as follows: Bridges and Culverts. Calhoun—Underpass and 0.17 mile of grading on primary roads 5 and 17% in Pomeroy. F. O. Montgomery company of Sioux City, $27,464. Eleven reinforced concrete pipe culverts and 4 reinforced concrete box culverts on primary 151 out of Lake City east—F. A. Moser, Straw berry Point, $4,497. Paving, Calhoun—3,894 miles on primary 151 from Lake City east to primary 1%—Carlson Construction Co. of Marshalltown, $96,425. The bids must be approved by the Omaha office of the bureau of public roads before contracts are let.
