Sudden Death of Prof.FitzgeraldWord was received hei'e last Sunday of the sudden death of 'Prof. F. A. Fitzgerald at his home In Covina, Calf., last Friday evening. The Professor was riding in his automobile when lie was run into by an electric car andthrown from his machine. He sustained injuries that caused his death and he never regained consciousness. The accident occurred in the morning and he passed away in the evening.^ _ ;Mrs. Fitzgerald was visiting in Ohio at the time of the accident and is pros-;fcrated with grief.Prof. Fitzgerald was leader of theCedar Falls band for ten years andalso taught music at the Normal. ;Everyone who had an opportunity to .study music under him appreciated hasworth as did the public that heard his ;students play. Besides his musicalabilities he was likerl as a man.lie was twice married, the first wife being buried in Ottawa, III., and by \ this marriage one son, Ted, was born I who survives Ids father.Everyone speaks only in the highest terms of this man and the citizens were sorry to lose him as a resident when lie went California to live about a year ago.
