The fact that Dock Black was banged in Greene county on thea ame day for the same k’nd of crimeehowe that such wretches have nodance of life by a North Carlina jury, but that citizens prefer to be orderly in attempting to correct disorder. The next good thing to do would be to create a sentiment among the colored people strong'y against the terrible evil as several important bodies hare done. Withan influential crusade against this most detestible of crimes and the prompt and orderly execution of its perpetrators we can reasonably hopeth*t the wave of crime will passaway.
