Mrs. Christiana Christensen, died Saturday, August 28, 1971, at the home of her daughter, Sirs. Arthur Stevens, at Cedar Falls, Iowa.Funeral services were Tuesday, August 31, at 1:30 p. m. at the United. Lutheran Church, Chester, Iowa, the pastor Rev. EL wood Skarpness officiating. Miss Shirley D. Alden was organist. Pallbearers were Harold Christensen, Kenneth Christensen, Harvey Augstad, Victor Mecklenburg, Darryl Stevens, and Merlin Christensen.Interment was at Chester Hill Cemetery, Chester, Iowa.Christiana was the daughter of Peter and Elsie Nielsen. She was bom in Denmark, Feb. 11, 1881.Her husband Anton Christensen preceded her in 1954.Surviving are two daughters, Agnes, Mrs. Arthur Stevens of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Clara, Mrs. John Mecklenburg of Chester, Iowa; two sons, Henry of Harmony, Minn, and Herman of Preston, Minn., 9 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, two brothers: Andrew Nielsen of Denmark, and William of St. Petersburg, Florida, and one sister, Mrs, Peter Kjar of Humboldt,
