DAVID E. MACK, FORMERHANCOCK JUDGE, IS DEADJudge David E. Mack, prominent Hancock county attorney, died Monday morning at his home in Carthage.Judge Mack was 77 years old. He was associated with his sfcn, Edward, in the law firm of Mack and Mack.1 His parents were David and Ellen Uurich Mack, pioneer residents of Hancock county. He attended Carth- j age public schools. In 1882 he was i graduated from Carthage college and i had served on the college board of trustees since that time.In 1920 Judge Mack was a member of the constitutional convention. He was at one time nominated by the Republicans for the office of justice of the supreme court, but declined the nomination. He had also served as county judge in Hancock county.Surviving are his widow; a son, Edward Mack, who was associated with his father; three grandsons; a granddaughter, and two sisters, Miss Henrietta Mack of Felsmere, Fla. and Mrs. Susan Firey of Aberdeen, S. D.The funeral was held Wednesday in Carthage with burial in Moss Ridge cemetery near there.
