SMALL BOY KILLS TWO BIG RATTLERSMike Batch, a farmer residing 2XA miles west of Kyana, was in tbe city Thursday and showed The Independent two big rattle snakes which had been killed by hs little son George, who is only 8 lA years of age, several days ago. Each snake was five feet long and the one had thirteen rattles and a button. The one was killed in the house yard after it had had taken a drink out of the chicken water-tank. The mate was traced by the house dog in the orchard, where it was promptly killed by the little boy. Both snakes were killed with a shot gun. It is something unusual to find such large rattlers in this section of the county.
