At Moldt’s Park, Septem ber 8, 9, 10. With several hundred dollars on hand to pay for contingent expenses, the Jackson Fair association is mak ing ready for the ‘09 event, which starts next week. All arrangements are not complete, but there will be good music, ball games, exhibits of all kinds, and also’ a ‘good dinner. Beth Gibler was in the city yesterday and stated that definite announce ments will be made in a few days as to transportation and program. A red hot ball game between the Eagles and Gunthers of Joliet is to be played the second day of the fair, and on the last day there will be a big discus contest, besides games of ‘all sorts to amuse the boys and girls. The Trinity Band of Joliet will fur nish the music during the three days of the fair, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Sept. 8, 9 and 10,at Moldt’s park. The admission is 25 cents. No liquor sold on the grounds. The pub lic will also be protected against the fakirs and no adulterated lemonade or questionable food stuff will be of fered patrons of the fair. A good, wholesome dinner will be served by the church women of Elwood every day and all who come will enjoy their stay at the park. Arrangements have been made with the Chicago Alton railroad to stop the train leaving Joliet every day at 10 o'clock at the fair grounds, and in the evening a train will stop at 6 o'clock for Joliet.
