That Ordinance,*Many people are inquiring what theterms of the new liquor ordinance are.The gist of the ordinance is just this:A license of $50 per quarter in advanceis charged, the Hoard reserving the right to raise or lower the rate at the beginning of each quarter, without any notification.There must be five of the nearest property owners sign the applicants application, and only one person in each tamily can sign such application; the marshal can enter any p ace where he believes that there is any wines, liquors or beer on storage andcan arrest the owner of the same unless he has a permit from the Hoard : of Trustees for the storage of the same.1'The Marshal must see whether it is roperly protected with bars and bolts so as to keep it safe from ! mob violence, and also to see that it is properly protected from fire. The penalty is a fine of not less than $50, nor more than $300, or by fine and imprisonment both.
