A New Kind of Tin Hooting.Mr. St. John P. Ellis, of Georgetown, writes as follows to the Sunday News, of Charleston:“In your issue of the 27th inst., youinquire for a plan of tinning roofs that will be secure against storms. 1 have and can put on tin that cannot be taken oil' by the wind unless the sheathing to which the tin be secured is first taken up. The tin is put on Hat, sheet by sheet, no soldering being put on the shed. I tinned a shed in Charleston in George stieet, south side, two doors east of King, and am satisfied that it stood the cyclone. If you desire I will send you a sample of the tinning on a small scale, which you can examine and show those in-terested. When properly put 011 it will take a crowbar to take it off. and then only a sheet at a time. Only one courso can be taken up at a time.”
