Bfijioly Sept. i. On Saturday Night late, arrived here the following Ships, viz. John and Betty, Capt. M’clahan, and Nancy, Capt. Macies, both from Philadelphia, in five Weeks. ^ The next Day afcer they came out, they were plunder’d by a Pyrate Sloop, called the Loyal James: Ihe had eight Guns and feventy Men, the Matter John Ben-net, formerly ofBarbadoes. There came alfo out with the.Johp and Betty, two Sloops bound for the Weft-Indies, of which the Pyraces alfo took one, which they carry’d off.*
