TopOf interest to local hikers andj horsemen is word that maintenance has just been completed on the eight mile (No. 51) trail fromthe old Opalka ranch to the top of Columbia mountain.A crew of Foreman Charles Rickard, Robert De La Martre and Raymond Musselman with four, head of stock did the maintenance, and continued on top of Columbia mountain past Doris lookout south to the Picnic lakes, a distance of about 25 miles. This top of Colum- \ bia mountain alpine trail (No. 7) is one of the longest in the forest and continues into the Swan, jInformation or the trail improvement was ^ received from “Flip” Darling, dispatcher at Big-fork ranger station.
