First Methodist services in Fay etteville, held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lodowick Brodie in 1832, will be reproduced in the first epi sode of the pageant which will commemorate the centennial of the church here Sept. 11 at 5 p. m. at the Greek amphitheatre on Univer sity campus. At that service, in which the Wallace and Sutton families joined the Brodies, two Methodist circuit riders, Rev. John Kelley and Rev. Alvin Baird were in charge. Members of Old Family In Roles Mr. and Mrs. Laddie Stone will take the parts of Mr. and Mrs. Brodie in the episode and their daughter, Juliet Marie, will por tray one of the Brodie’s five chil dren. Two Methodist preachers, Rev. J. M. Williams and Rev. J. L. Ruble, will play parts of the circuit riders, Local Negroes to Appear Local negroes will be used in parts of the cook, yard boy, and nurse. Neighbor families also will be played by local people, and Scotty Taylor’s horses will be used to the circuit riders in the scene. Among signers of the first church document, names of Mr. and Mrs. Brodie, Mr. and Mrs. Frazier, Mrs. Susan McLain Antony, and Mr. and Mrs. Hosea Cardwell have been found. A number of the first signers will appear in the first epi sde cast.
