Youths Arrested For porting Liquor to Ohio Station esperity club at Spring Val ley raided for the fifth time an ight but no evidence of violation was discovered. 1 investigator claimed that he wine there on a previous date. A raid at hearing Sheriff Neill is deputies arrested Mike Tenar add, who was in charge of a place the sheriff’s force found 4 of home brew which is said have tested 2% per cent, is taken to the county jail. @ sheriff’s force caught up with Leo Peter Ferrari, of Ladd, last Saturday noon at Ohio. The two men have been under observation for some time and are alleged to have been transporting home brew and other drinks to patrons in Princeton, Tiskil Ohio and in several other parts of the county. They were caught in Ohio Saturday noon while attempt ing delivery of five gallons of liquor. The were riding in a Ford coupe. They taken to the county jail in P n and the coupe confiscated. Asporting and possession charges were placed against both of them. Monday morning the two brothers ap pe in county court before Judge R. L. Russell. Leo volunteered to take the rap for his brother too, and plead guilty to two counts, transporting and possession. He anticipated making ar gents to secure money to pay a fine, but after consultation with Attorney Paul Perona, of Ladd, and his mother, he decided that it would be hard to raise money to pay a fine and returned to the court room and asked to be sentenced. Judge Russell sentenced him to 75 days at Vandalia on each count and stipulated the sen tence was to run concurrently. The case against his brother was nolle pressed by State’s Attorney Carey R. Johnson. Their Ford coupe will be disposed of at a sheriff’s sale. New informations were filed in the De Pue still case Monday morning. A good sized still located in the Joe Bender house in that village was raid ed several weeks ago. The new in formations are against Peter Are metto, Josie Angelo, and Joe Bender. Josie Angelo appeared in court and gave bond. She is a sister-in-law of Aremetto. Aremetto went back to jail while friends made efforts to arrange bond. Bender did not appear.
