The members of the Selkirk Bowling Club had a very enjoyable afternoon last Saturday, when they met three rinks from the Assiniboine Bowling Club, and although the home club were not successful in defeating their guests still they were able to give them good games. After the bowling, all were entertained by Mesdames James, Hannesson and Skaptason to a very dainty afternoon tea, and after a few remarks by some of the guests and home members, they concluded a very enjoyable time. The players were as follows: . Assiniboine— Mrs. Lister, Mrs. John ston, Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Orr, skip, 14. Selkirk—Mrs. Daly, Mr. Somerset Mr. Gilbuly, Mr. Mann, skip, 10. Assiniboine—Dr. Woods, Mr. Healy,, Mr. Cove, Mr. Orr, skip, 12 Selkirk—Mr. Burns, Mr. Hall, Mr. Davidson, Mr. H. Newton, skip, 11. Assiniboine—Mr. Johnstone, Mr. Daly, Mr. Lister, Mr. Martin, skip, 17. Selkirk——Mr. DeBondy, Mr. Fergu son, Mr. Hannessen, Mr. Skaptasen, skip, 10. A fotal score——Assiniboine, 43; — Sel kirk, 31.
