A. Double Lynching.Bikminc.iiam, Sept. 2.—Two ne-11 grocs %veve lynched at Montevallo Saturday night for murder and robbery.Last Friday night a store at Mon-tcvallo was broken open by burglars. Mr. John Lawrence, a clerk in the store heard the noise and opened fire on the burglars. The fire was returned and Lawrence was shot dead, a bullet from a Winchester rifle passing through his heart. Saturday two suspicious looking negroes were arrested near the town and one of them finally confessed the crime. Both negroes were hung tb a limb wiihiii fifty yards of the scene of their crime.
