Mr. R. H. Shultz's Grand Gift Enterprise has been considerably talked of for the past three months, and seems to be growing in pub-11c favor the more it ia talked gf and the better it is understood. Gift enterprises, as a general thing we condemn t simply because the? are nothing more or less than grand cheating enterprises, gotten up by unprincipled scamps who value a bit of bfaae at tan dollars that perhaps cost them five cents, and ofcber things in like ratio, and by these means make suoh fair promises that persons not acquainted with their abominable chicanery are often indnoed to invest, and of lionise get “bit.” But we are satisfied Mr. Shultz's enterprise is of a very different kind, and an exemption to the general rule of humbugs, so abundant n'ow-a-daya.— There are four good ferms, a fine residence in Mownouth, besides Aany other valuable gifts, amounting in all.to tb£ value of 885,000, to he drawn. Mr. Shulta tow a good reputation, and we have no doubt everything will be done fairly.Opening Concert to be given October 23d, 1867, in the new Union Hall. 1
