Former State Policeman, George Rentz, Heads Township Police A former Pennsylvania State Policeman, George Rentz, who was stationed here for several years, has been elected the Chief of Police of BensAlem township. Chief of Police Rentz, who will begin his official duties tomorrow, is a native of Willamsport. He serv ed with the Pennsylvania State Police and also in the Army. While in the Army he served in Germany for four years and later was stationed in Japan for three years. He will reside in Cornwells Heights. Because of the United States Steel Fairless Works and vast expansion of industry and housing develop ments, Chief of Police Rentz faces a problem of organizing and build ing up a police department.
