Tea Shower Honors Miss Delnora ScrogginsAn afternoon tea and miscellaneous shower honoring Miss Delnora Scroggins was given by Miss Patricia Ogden and Mrs. Win. Nicol at the home of Mrs. E. E. Ogden Monday. Miss Scroggins will become the bride of Glenn Jones of McAllen earlyin November.Pink roses and white chrysanthemums combined with fern a-dorned the Ogden home. Mrs. Nicol, Miss Ogden, and her mother, Mrs. E. E. Ogden, the bride elect and her mother, Mrs. O. T. Roots, and Mrs. Ernie Fogel of Mercedes, sister of Mr. Jones,j were in the house party. All' wore attractive formal gowns. With her cream colored frock 'the honoree wore a lovely corsage of sweetheart rosebuds,gift of th hostesses.Mrs. Hoyt May presided at the brides book. The tea table was lace covered and had a beautiful arrangement of roses and chrysanthemums in a crystal bowl. Mrs. Beverly Zimmerman poured and Mrs. May and Mrs.Fogel served the little cakes frosted in pink, white and green. Tiny scalloped napkins were inscribed with the names Del andGlenn.Many gifts for their new home were received by the bride to be. About fifty close friends were included in the guest list.Miss Scroggins is a graduate of San Benito high school and is on the force of the Bell Telephone Company. Mr. Jones is now employed by the Central Power and Light in McAllen, He served as an officer in th Air Force in the European theatre and for a number of mon-1 ths was a prisoner of war.I -----
