TO LEAVE TURKEY .UITLY FOR SOLDIERSSubstitution of chickens, ducks and geese for Thanksgiving day turkeys, in order to supply the men of the army and navy with turkey dinners, is being urged on the public. The government has contracted for the entire supply of cold storage turkey, it was said, and has also arranged to purchase most of the fresh killed fowl. Consumers who insist upon turkeyfor Thanksgiving will be compelled totake their chances in a scanty market and the prices, it is predicted, will soar sky high.
