.The proceedings of the district court were considerably delayed yes terday on account of the absence of Wnesses. The first case called was John Endsley, charged with seduc ey and it was continued at the in tance of the defendant for absent witnesses. J. F. Standifer, charged in engaging in and pursuing the station of selling liquor, entered ce Dlea.of guilty and was given four ears with suspended sentence. The we of H. W. Powell, charged with sting the occupation of selling , isky, was called up and was passed Sefer, until today on account of some of the witnesses failing to show up. Attachments were ordered issued for the absent witnesses and the court directed the sheriff to put them in d@il cuntil needed. Ben Morse, charged “with selling whisky, was next ar raigned and a motion for a_ con tinuance on account of absent wit tresses was overruled. The case went ip trial and the court directed that attachments be issued for the absent witnesses and that they be placed in gil.
