Thomas Wilkerson was in the city Tuesday from Dodd. Willard Abel, of Birdseye, was at tending court here on Tuesday. Alex Ahl, of Tobinsport, was a business visitor to Cannelton Tuesday. Mrs. Louis Husson, of Tell City, was visiting in Cannelton on ‘Tuesday Ernest Bivin, Progressive nominee for sheriff, was in Cannelton on Tues day. Mrs. Virgil Bryant spent several days of this week visiting in Hunt ingburg. Joseph M. Flamion, of Bandon, was in the city on Tuesday to attend court. County commissioner Robert Quin lin was in the city from Branchville on Tuesday. Lawrence Kelly, democratic candi date for county treasurer, was in Cannelton on Tuesday. Mrs. Josephine Miller returned on Wednesday from a two-week’s visit with relatives in Troy. J.J. Esarey and Frank Galey, of Branchville, were business visitors to Cannelton on Wednesday. John Thiry, of Bandon, was here on Tuesday making his settlement with the county treasurer. Charles F. Robbins, of Magnet, was attending to business at the court house on Tuesday morning John Kauffman, of Apalona, was in the city Monday paying taxes and called to renew for the Koaqurer. Mrs J. W. Pohl returned on Thurs day from a two Weeks’ visit with friends in Evansville and Princeton. Marshal James Martin, of Troy, was in Carmelton Tuesday, having been summoned before the grand jury. Ned Cassidy and J. F. Lampkins, of Apalona, were attending to busi ness at the court house on Saturday last. Andrew Flamion, of Leopold, was in the city on Monday and a Tuesday ransacting business at the court house. Samuel Anderson, democratic nomi nee for circuit clerk, was mingling with the voters of Camelton on Tuesday. M. A. Eberhard, of Troy, was in Cannelton early Monday morning to make his annual settlement with the county treasurer. ‘Floyd Litherland, one of Troy town ship’s good farmers, was in Cannelton Wednesday paying taxes and dropped in to renew for The Equirer. Charles Splater, of Anderson town ship, was a visitor to Cannelton Tuesday and made his annual con tribution to the county treasurer. Theodore Doogs and wife, of Nabb, Ind., were in the city first of the week. They were called to Tell City by the death of John Seibert, Mrs Doogs’ father, Theodore Hanlah, one of the county’s prominent farmers, of Rural Route, 1, was a business visitor to Uannelton Tuesday and called to see the Enquirer. Dr. Carnavan, of St. Croix, was in the city on Monday morning. He has disposed of his farm and will locate elsewhere, but has not definite ly decided upon a location. Paul P. Lehman and wife, of Louis ville, were in the city during the week. They came to attend the 60th anniversary celebration of St. John’s Evangelical church which was held from Sunday until Tuesday.
